How to drill stainless steel?

I had introduced metal drill bit in last episode

In this episode, I will use Diager 6.5mm metal drill bit with 5% cobalt to drill stainless steel

Let see how it perform!

When we drill metal, we need to have a puncher

Hammer, metal cutting oil, metal drill bit and of course a drill

First of all, we use puncher to punch a hole on stainless steel

Puncher is used to prevent dislocation during drilling metal

Secondly, adding cutting metal oil to prevent drill bit overheating

Thirdly, when drill and metal drill bit are ready

You can start drilling hole on stainless steel

Please remember to add cutting metal oil occasionally

This action can prevent metal drill bit from overheating

It is that easy to drill stainless steel

I will talk about concrete drill bit in next episode

In the last video,

I showed you guys the different types of drill bits.

In this video, I will demonstrate how to drill into concrete.

I will use an impact drill and a hydraulic drill to drill into concrete.

As you can see, it is much slower to use an impact drill to drill into concrete compared to the hydraulic drill.

It took 45 seconds more to use impact drill to drill a hole into the concrete.

However, if you use a hydraulic drill,

It only took about 10-12 seconds

to drill a hole.

Let me give you a tip when using the impact drill.

You can start with a smaller drill bit.

And then use a bigger one, such as the 6.5mm or the 8mm drill bit

to make it easier to drill a hole.

Last tip to share.

When I start drilling, I will press the power button for several times.

To make a concave hole first,

And then drill into it to avoid displacement.

What can we do to prevent drill dust flying everywhere when drilling?

You can take it out the drill bit from time to time when drilling.

The move can prevent the dust

from bursting out at last.

This is the end of the demonstration.

See you next time!

How to fix the water seepage problem temporarily?

In this video, I will share a method to

fix the water seepage and leaking

problems temporarily.

If you tighten the Anti-Vac bottle trap too hard,

the bottle may break, and cracks will appear that leads to the water leakage.

In this situation, you can use the magic steel glue stick.

Rub it and take appropriate amount to fix the cracks.

In just 5 minutes, it will form the shape and will be hardened in one hour.

This magic steel glue stick can be applied in water,

Which is suitable for fixing the water leaking problem in pipes.

Let me show you how to do it.

Firstly, take out the appropriate amount of the magic steel glue stick.

Secondly, rub it completely.

When you loosen the pipe and the Anti-Vac bottle trap,

You will see a little crack here.

So, what to do now?

Cover the crack

with the rubbed magic steel glue stick.

Give a little pressure on it

To make it seal the crack completely.

After sealing it,

the magic steel glue stick will be hardened.

Then the water leakage problem is solved!

Fixing the cracks in water pipe or the Anti-Vac bottle trap is that easy!

Remember, the magic steel glue stick

takes one hour to harden completely.

Therefore, you need to wait at least one hour before using the pipe again.

You can see it in the hardware shop for sure.

But at home,

You may find it on the connect tap of the washing machine or the faucet in the bathroom.

Now, I will show you how to use the PTFE tape.

Let say this is a connect tap of the washing machine that is installed on wall.

Turn the water switch off and loosen the connect tap, then you will see the PTFE tape.

Firstly, you need to remove the old PTFE tape.

Remove all the old PTFE tape.

If you find it difficult to remove it,

you can use a cutter to remove the PTFE tape.

Give it a few cuts then you will be able to tear away all of the tape easily.

After removing the old PTFE tape, you will need cover it with new PTFE tape.

However, for some faucet that is in poor quality,

Under normal circumstances, you will tear the tape in horizontal way.

Stick the tape on the faucet clockwise,

for about 20-30 rounds.

But it depends on the accessories that you are using.

You cannot install the faucet directly without
giving it a rub with your hands.

The faucet will look a bit puffy.
